Hi. I lived in Morton from my birth until I was approximately 6 years old. I was baptized at Holy Cross Church and lived on Stretton Road. My father was an underground engineer in Morton Colliery He also served as a Churchwarden. I will be staying in Morton from Sunday afternoon 8th July to Tuesday woth July. Is there a service on Sunday evening or any way I could have access to the church during my stay. I am so looking forward to reliving happy memories of my childhood and starting school at Morton Primary.Thank you Tessa

I would like to thank Rev John for the excellent sympathetic and professional way he conducted the service at my Mother's (Margaret Lily Walton) funeral.

On the death of my father, Alan West, the family would like to give many thanks to the members of Holy Cross church who did much to keep his spirit alive following the death of his wife Winnie in 2006. Also thanks to members of the very special bowls team and whist drive to which activities he very much looked forward to.
